Doane University, a nationally recognized liberal arts and sciences college in Crete, NE, invites applications for the position of 2nd Assistant Basketball Coach.  This is a volunteer position.  The assistant coach will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach in carrying out all activities necessary to accomplish the objectives of this sport within the guidelines of the NAIA, Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Doane University.

Duties include recruiting, instruction, training, supervising and retaining highly skilled student-athletes for the basketball team. Additional responsibilities with the JV program will be needed.

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree preferred. Ideal candidates must have playing or coaching experience at the high school, collegiate, or professional level, demonstrated success recruiting high level basketball players, and experience working with video editing/scouting software’s. Must possess a proven record of integrity, high principles and demonstrated skill in developing and motivating student athletes academically and athletically. A valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the college’s automobile insurance provider is required.
