As a Volunteer Assistant Coach, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Coach on an as needed, part time basis with providing a competitive varsity intercollegiate sports program that competes within the rules of the university, Sunshine State Conference and the NCAA.

 

Job Description:

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Attend and assist with practices
  • Attend home and away games
  • Be able to assist with one or more of the following areas:

o    specialized technical or strategic skills pertinent to the sport (for example, defensive specialist)

o    provide knowledge and coaching in specialized position areas pertinent to the sport (for example, Goalkeeper coaching experience)

o    technology or statistical breakdown pertinent to the sport (for example, expertise with HUDL)

  • Impart knowledge of sport specific areas/techniques under the guidance of the head coach
  • Assist with the teaching and development of student-athletes
  • Provide a positive atmosphere and culture consistent with the direction of the head coach
  • Represent Lynn, the athletic department and the program in a positive manner

Minimum qualifications

  • Completion of campus trainings on Title IX and Clery Act
  • Clean driving record
  • Background check required
  • High level of professionalism and ethics
  • Pass all NCAA learning portals
