Position Overview: The Youth Basketball Coach reports to the Youth Basketball Manager and is responsible for the coaching and supervision of basketball camp participants.

Responsibilities:

• Supervision of children ages 6 to 14
• Being an active part of all basketball drills, scrimmages, evaluations, and games
• Responsible for the general well-being of all students
• Serve as a role model to young students
• Attend scheduled staff meetings and trainings
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent
• Experience as a volunteer coach in basketball
• Experience working with children ages 5 to 18
• Playing (college experience) and/or prior coaching experience (AAU, High School level)
• Deep knowledge of the game of basketball
• Ability to create lesson plans and develop curriculum is a plus
• Certification in first aid, CPR and AED, or the willingness to become certified
• Priority given to candidates with coaching certification (USA Basketball, etc.)
• Excellent customer services and communication skills
