As employees of the Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose Quarter, we aim to impact our communities where we live, learn, and play.

To do that, we are looking for Youth Basketball Lead Development Coaches,  who will create stronger communities and lifelong Trail Blazers fans.  As a Youth Basketball Development Coach you will engage youth in your community in a fun and positive way through Trail Blazers Youth Camps, Clinics, Rip City Academy, and Special Events.

You will be responsible for:

• Serving as Lead Instructor at select events
• Providing the ultimate experience for every youth basketball player at every level
• Bringing positivity, energy, and effort to your job responsibilities
• Assisting with Rip City Academy development goals
• Reflecting Trail Blazers brand expectations, including training curriculum
• Assist with developmental strategies in recruiting youth participants
• Building and maintaining relationships with top basketball facilities, existing youth basketball leagues, programs and community organizations.

You are qualified if:

• You have two years of experience coaching or facilitating organized recreational sports
• You are highly organized with attention to detail throughout all job responsibilities
• You possess dynamic leadership capabilities and a strong desire to succeed
• You have knowledge about the Trail Blazers team, brand, and efforts in the community
• You possess a team player attitude with the ability to collaborate and engage mass groups of children
• You are a leader who lives by example and demonstrates ethical characteristics
• You demonstrate strong verbal communication
• You are able to work a flexible schedule including some night, holidays, weekends, and early mornings
• You possess CPR/AID certification (preferred but not required)
