John A. Smith has been named as an assistant basketball coach on Jason Hooten’s staff at New Mexico State. Smith tweeted the following earlier today:

Smith, who most recently served as the head coach at Manor HS (TX), has had stops as a D1 assistant at the University of The Incarnate Word (2014-18), Texas A&M (2013-14), and Northwestern State (2003-06).
