Jeff Jones has been named as an assistant men’s basketball coach for Henderson State University for the 2022-23 season.

Jones, a native of Baton Rouge, Lousiana, comes to HSU after coaching in the AAU circuit. In addition to his time in AAU, Jones was an assistant coach at his high school Madison Preparatory Academy and a student assistant coach at Wiley College.

While at Wiley last season, Jones saw a brief stint as interim head coach, going 5-1 while at the helm. During his time amongst the high school coaching ranks, Jones won two state championships at Madison Prep in Baton Rouge, along with three as a player.
