Josh White has been named as an assistant coach at Baton Rouge Community College. The Baton Rouge native attended Christian Life Academy and played on the their men’s basketball team. He was part of back to back state high school basketball championships 2006-2007. White was named a three time all state selection as point guard at Christian Life Academy. He was also named a two time MVP of the states Top 28 basketball tournament in his junior and senior season.
After high school, Coach White received a scholarship to continue his basketball career at the University of North Texas. He attended the university from 2007-2011. Coach White was named freshman of the year as he lead his team in scoring with 14.0 points per game. He was named to the Sunbelt All Conference Team in 2007 and 2009. He was part of the 2010 Sunbelt Conference Championship team that went to play in the NCAA Basketball Tournament. Coach White finished his college career at North Texas as the fourth leading scorer in UNT Men’s basketball history. White was inducted into the North Texas Hall of Fame in 2017.
