Joyce Named Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach for Player Development at Washington College

Washington College head men’s basketball coach Aaron Goodman has announced that Cody Joyce has been added to the team’s staff as assistant coach for player development. Joyce played Division I basketball at Houston Baptist University and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC).

As a junior at UMBC, Joyce earned 2015 All-America East Conference second-team honors, averaging 13.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. He played his first two seasons at Houston Baptist, where he landed on the Southland Conference Honor Roll and averaged 9.9 points per game as a sophomore.

After graduating from UMBC, Joyce spent two years as a ticket sales representative at the United States Naval Academy, where he was responsible for ticket sales for all varsity sports. He also completed an internship in the Sports Communication office while a student at UMBC. He has been working as a licensed real estate agent since 2016.

Joyce earned a B.A. in Media and Communication Studies from UMBC in May 2016.
