JUCO DIRT: Coaching change made at NJCAA D1 Eastern Oklahoma State

Story: Adam Nelson (@HD_DirtKing)

Scott Edgar is no longer the head men’s basketball coach at NJCAA D1 Eastern Oklahoma State College. He has been replaced by long-time Southwestern College (KS) associate head coach Tim Miser.

Edgar had been at Eastern Oklahoma since 2010. He arrived after spending most of his career at the D1 level – he served as the head coach at Murray State, Duquesne, and SEMO. Edgar also worked an assistant at Tulsa, Arkansas, Tennessee, and UAB. Last season, he led Eastern to a 20-10 (8-8) record, and advanced to the Region 2 Tournament Quarterfinal.

Miser had spent the past 12-seasons at NAIA powerhouse Southwestern College, assuming the role of offensive coordinator back in 2015. The SC alum was part of a team this past season that went 25-8 (20-4) and qualified for the NAIA National Tournament. He has already started his duties at Eastern Oklahoma.

An official announcement is expected shortly.
