I can confirm that Travis Garrett is no longer the head men’s basketball coach at NJCAA South Georgia Technical College. He has been replaced on an interim basis by assistant coach Chris Ballauer.

Garrett had been at SGTC for the past four seasons. This past season, the Jets finished with a 13-18 (6-10) record. Garrett has also been the head coach at USC-Salkehatchie and Clinton Junior College, and served as an assistant at Northeastern, Bethune-Cookman, and Chipola College. I have also heard that he has been hired to work at JUCO Advocate.

Ballauer has been at since 2013. He started as an assistant on the women’s side, and moved over to the men’s side in 2014. He previously spent 14 seasons as an assistant at College of Coastal Georgia.
