I can confirm that Dexter Young has resigned as the head men’s basketball coach at NJCAA D3 Dallas College Eastfield.

Young had been the head coach of the Harvester Bees for the past two seasons, where he went 39-22, including an 18-14 mark this past season. Young has also spent the last two summers serving as a coach for the NCAA College Basketball Academy.

Before taking over at Eastfield, Young served as the head coach at Premier Academy Prep School. He also coached in China, and worked as an assistant at Chicago State and Fresno Pacific.

Word on the street is that associate head coach LaPhonso Ellis Jr. will take over as the interim head coach while a search takes place.
