I can confirm that NJCAA D1 Garden City CC (KS) will hire Bill Morosco as their new head men’s basketball coach. Morosco has most recently served as the head coach at fellow Jayhawk Conference member Independence CC (KS). He will replace Cole Dewey who is rumored to be headed to NCAA D1 Texas A&M Corpus Christi as an assistant.

Morosco took over at ICC back in 2019. In his first year, Morosco led Independence to a 23-9 record, which matched the highest win total for the program since 2010-11. During the COVID shortened campaign, the Pirates went 13-10 (10-9 Jayhawk).

Before becoming a head coach, Morosco served as an assistant at Barry College (FL), Eastern Florida State, and Presbyterian. He has also worked as a GA at UC Davis, and as the DBO at the Citadel.
