I have heard that NJCAA D1 Independence CC (KS) will hire Jai Steadman as their new head men’s basketball coach.

Steadman, who spent last season as an assistant with the G-League’s Rio Grande Vipers, has a ton of experience at the college level. He has served as an assistant coach and interim head coach at both UTRGV and the University of Maine. He has also worked at North Texas, Louisiana Lafayette, TCU, and McNeese State. Steadman has also coached professionally in Denmark, and has had multiple G-League stops.

Steadman will replace Justin Mann, who stepped away earlier this month to become an assistant at D2 West Florida.

An official announcement is expected shortly.
