Last week I reported that the search at New Mexico Junior College was down to three candidates: Seward College (KS) assistant coach Luke Adams, North Lake College (TX) head coach Tim McGraw, and Indian River State College (FL) head coach Charlie Wilson.

I have now heard that the choice will be Seward assistant Luke Adams. Larren Silver over at TexasJUCObasketball.com was the first to report this.

This past season was Adams’ first at Seward. He had served as an assistant at South Plains College (TX) for two seasons before that. Adams played collegeiately at Texas Tech for both Billy Gillispie and Tubby Smith.

Adams is the son of current Texas Tech assistant coach Mark Adams.
