I can confirm that NJCAA D1 Frank Phillips College has opened as head men’s basketball coach / AD Chris Hackett is on the move. Hackett will become the new Director of Athletics at Florida Gateway College.

Hackett has served as the head basketball coach at FPC for the past eleven seasons. This past year, his team finished 14-16 (5-11). Hackett, the winningest basketball coach in school history, had his best season in 2016, when he led the Plainsmen to a 22-9 record and was a finalist for the HoopDirt.com JUCO Coach of the Year Award.

Before his time at Frank Phillips, Hackett spent five seasons as the associate head coach at Florida Tech.
