No secret here, but this one was pretty much made official today. After about six weeks of speculation (and denials), New Mexico Junior College is now open.

According to a TWEET from the NMJC’s athletic department, head coach Luke Adams has departed, and will join his father Mark’s staff at Texas Tech.

The younger Adams had been the Thunderbirds head coach since 2018. This past season, his squad went 19-13 (10-6). He has also been an assistant at Seward County and South Plains.

Adams played at Texas Tech for both Billy Gillispie and Tubby Smith.
