I alluded to this one in today’s DAILY DIRT, but can now confirm that Larry Brown is no longer the head coach at NJCAA D1 Ranger College. Brown took over at Ranger back in the fall of 2020 after a very short (less than 6 month stint) by James Stafford. The Ranger job initially opened in 2020 after Billy Gillispie departed for Tarleton State.
Also, I have heard that Dodge City CC assistant coach TJ Cox is the leader here. He has big-time JUCO experience as an assistant, working at both John A. Logan and Tallahassee CC. Sounds like this one could be wrapped up shortly.
Ranger went 15-13 this past season, and ended the year on a 5-game skid.
More on this as I hear it.
