HoopDirt.com can confirm that Pratt CC (KS) has hired Max Good as the new head men’s basketball coach. He will replace Jesse Shaw who resigned back in March. Good has been the head coach at Eastern Kentucky (1981-89), UNLV (2000-01), Bryant (2001-08), and Loyola Marymount (2009-14).
The veteran head coach has garnered many awards during his career, including the 1987 Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year and the 2010 West Coast Conference Coach of the Year by Collegeinsider.com. He also led Bryant College to five-straight NCAA Division II Sweet 16 finishes, as well as a NCAA Division II Championship runner-up finish in 2004–05.
Good also had a ton of success at the prep level as the head coach at Maine Central Institute. During his ten seasons at the school, he compiled a 275-30 record while going undefeated three times and at one point putting together a 79-game winning streak.
An official announcement is expected shortly.
