I can confirm that NJCAA D1 Seward County CC (KS) head men’s basketball coach Rylee Hernandez intends step away at the end of the season and will pursue other opportunities.

Hernandez has been Saints head coach for the past four seasons, and was the head coach at Williston State College before that. His squad currently has two regular season games remaining.

I have heard from multiple sources that Seward is in the process of changing their scholarship structure in order to be more competitive which also may include an upgraded salary for the head coach.

A national search for his replacement is expected at the conclusion of the season.
