I can confirm that Reco Dawson is no longer the head men’s basketball coach at NJCAA D1 Shelton State.

Dawson had been the Bucs head coach for the past three seasons, leading the program to a 38-46 mark during his tenure.

Prior to his time at Shelton State, Dawson spent ten seasons as the head coach at NJCAA D1 Central Georgia Tech. During his time at CGTC, Dawson was named as the District 13 Coach of the Year three times (2018, 2019, 2020), as well as Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association Region 17 Coach of the Year in 2020. From 2018-20, his teams captured three straight GCAA titles, including the first in program history in 2018.
