Steve Tucker is no longer the head men’s basketball coach at Dodge City CC (KS). DCCC Athletic Director Jacob Ripple has named himself as Tucker’s replacement.

Tucker had been at Dodge City for the past 2+ seasons. He also served as the head coach at Sam Houston State, and  has coached in 8 different Pro Basketball Leagues (ABA, CBA, WBA, BBL, IBA, USBL,GBA, & PBL). Along the way, he has amassed nearly 700 coaching victories.

Before heading to the administrative side of college athletics (the dark side), Ripple had spent time as the head women’s basketball coach at Garden City CC (KS), and also worked as an assistant at Southeastern Oklahoma State.

No word yet if Ripple will continue in the position after the season, or if he will open the job.
