I have heard from multiple sources that NJCAA DI Utah State University will name Bill Evans as their new head basketball coach.

The 71-year old Evans served as the head coach at Idaho State from 2012-19 and as the head coach at Southern Utah from 1991-2007. While at Idaho State, he was named the Big Sky Coach of the Year in 2016. He has an overall career record of 278-364 in 23 seasons as a D1 head coach.

He will replace Adjalma “Vando” Becheli who was not retained after 8 seasons as the head coach at USUE.

An official announcement is expected shortly.
