I can confirm that John Putyrski will be the new head men’s basketball coach at NJCAA D1 Weatherford College (TX).
Putyrski spent last season as the head coach for BKM Lučenec in Slovakia’s top professional league. Prior to that, he had a strong two-year run as the head coach at NJCAA D2 Florida State College Jacksonville, winning 57 games during his tenure. In year one, his team tied a program record with 26 wins, and surpassed it in year two with 31.
Putyrski also spent time as a D1 assistant at both Illinois St. and UT-Arlington.
