Douglas Byrd has been named as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Chattahoochee Valley Community College (AL). There has been no official statement on the CVCC website, but AD Ben Hicks tweeted the following:

Byrd spent last two years as an assistant at Eastern Florida State College, where he was part of a program that went 22-10 (11-4) last season. He also spent time as the head coach at South Georgia Tech.

Byrd will replace Hicks, who stepped away from his basketball position to focus on his duties as the AD.
