Jonathan Hicklin has been named as an assistant men’s basketball coach at NJCAA D1 Howard College (TX).
Hicklin started his playing career at NCAA D1 James Madison University and later transferred to NCAA D2 Winston-Salem University. During Hicklin’s career with the Rams he would help them win the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association regular season Championship twice in 2019-20 and 2021-22. They would also win the conference tournament and advance to the NCAA Tournament in the 2019-20 and 2022-23 seasons. Hicklin would average 8 points and 5 rebounds per game over his career while making 64 starts.
Hicklin was a standout player at Northside Christian Academy in High School where he averaged 16.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.8 steals per contest his Senior year. His performance earned him one of 24 spots in the North Carolina Boys Private School All-Star Game.
Hicklin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Winston-Salem University.
