Kansas head men’s basketball coach Bill Self was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Monday as a precaution after feeling under the weather, according to KU Athletics. Self received IV fluids and is reportedly feeling better but did not travel with the team to Boulder for Tuesday night’s game at Colorado.
Self previously missed the 2023 Big 12 Tournament and NCAA Tournament after undergoing a heart procedure. He was also hospitalized last July and had two stents inserted.
Now in his 23rd season at Kansas, Self owns a 609–156 career record with the Jayhawks and is the program’s all-time wins leader, including 331 victories at Allen Fieldhouse.
