Kavon Lacey Named Assistant Basketball Coach at Lewis and Clark CC

Lewis and Clark Community College, Godfrey, Illinois, has announced that former University of Evansville assistant men’s basketball coach Kavon Lacey has been hired as assistant men’s basketball coach for the Trailblazers men’s basketball program. Lewis Clark CC is a DI JUCO in southern Illinois’ NJCAA Region XXIV.

Lacey’s hiring at Lewis and Clark CC is a homecoming of sorts. Lacey’s hometown, Alton, IL, neighbors Godfrey, IL.

Kavon Lacey is among the best high school players the Alton area has ever seen and he reigns as the Alton High School Boys Basketball all-time leading scorer.

Lacey was most recently coaching as an assistant coach at the University of Evansville. In addition to coaching at Evansville Lacey also played his entire collegiate career at the guard position for the Purple Aces.

Lacey will be a full time employee at Lewis and Clark CC and will also be serving as a Community Outreach Facilitator in the Adult Education Division of the college.
