Kevin Lubbers has resigned his position as Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Colorado Christian University effective immediately.  During the last 6 years Coach Lubbers has served the student athletes, our campus community, alumni and donor base, and his fellow coaches extremely well.  He has built a program that has represented CCU very well on the court, in the classroom, and in the community.  This past season was one of the most historic seasons in school history and the men’s basketball program has become of the top programs in the RMAC and moved on to the RMAC Shootout Final 4 this season. CCU basketball has also become one of the most nationally recognized NCCAA basketball programs in the country winning 2 National Championships in the last 3 seasons.  Coach Lubbers was named NCCAA National Coach of the year this past season.

“I will deeply miss the relationships I have with our current and former players and some key supporters of this program.  It is the right time and in the best interest of my family to leave CCU. It has been my privilege to be involved in the lives of the student athletes I have worked with here. I wish nothing but the best for CCU basketball moving forward.”
