Prior to Central Community College, Killin worked as an assistant coach under current Hastings College head coach Bill Gavers at Grand Island Central Catholic while completing his student teaching.
A 2007 graduate from Central City high school, Killin studied at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. There he assisted Dr. Tom Kropp and Coach Kevin Lofton, co-head Loper coaches, while earning his degree in social studies education.
