Lamar update

The Beaumont Enterprise (through the Texas Freedom of Information Act) has gotten a hold of the list of applicants for the Lamar job. So far, there are 31 applicants – a very interesting list. There are only a handful of legitimate candidates, including University of Houston (and Lamar Alum) Alvin Brooks. He is still believed to be the leader, but other quality applicants include Memphis assistant Glynn Cyprien, Marquette assistant Scott Monarch, and Hawaii associate head coach Walter Roese.

It’s very interesting to go down the list – I’m not sure why some guys bother to apply for a job like this. Here’s the list courtesy of the Beaumont Enterprise:
