Late Night Dirt – 6/26/18

Some late night DIRT to end a loooong day….

  • I have heard that the search for a new head coach at DII Wheeling Jesuit University is winding down. It sounds like the leader here is IPFW assistant coach John Peckinpaugh. Before joining the Mastodon’s staff prior to last season, he spent three seasons as the head coach at Indiana Tech (54-40). An official announcement here is expected shortly.

  • Word on the street is that the search for a new head coach at NAIA Life University (GA) is down to four. The names that I’ve heard are Brian Benator (assistant coach West Florida), Kevin Easley (former assistant at UNCW, UTC, UNCG, and High Point), Rich McCray (current assistant at Life U), and Stephen Cox (assistant coach Kennesaw State). On-campus interviews will wrap up this week.

  • Zach Holt will join JT Burton’s new staff at DII Tusculum College (TN). Holt had spent the past three seasons as an assistant at Motlow State (TN).

  • I can confirm that Noah Croak has joined the coaching staff at Dodge City CC (KS). Croak spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Kentucky Wesleyan College.
