Here are a bunch of things that I have heard today…

• I have heard from a very good source (and one with a nickname that my wife thinks is cool) that The Citadel has hired Mike Strickland as their new DBO. Strickland was most recently an assistant at Roanoke College (VA). He is the son of former Coastal Carolina head coach Pete Strickland.

• I can confirm that Andre Gray and Justin Griffith have been hired as assistant coaches at Winston Salem State. Prior to WSSU Gray spent time at UNC-Wilmington, Western Carolina, Gardner Webb and Wingate. Griffith played collegiately at North Carolina Wesleyan and spent the last two years at The University of Mount Olive.

• From a great source…the search to replace Phil Rowe at Endicott College (MA) is moving quickly. It sounds like they are down to these four candidates: Kevin Bettencourt (assistant coach Bentley College), Mark Gilbride (head coach Clarkson), Aaron Kelly (assistant coach Bucknell), and David Chadbourne (head coach Franklin Pierce).

• I can confirm that Lake Land College (IL) head coach Cedric Brown has departed after seven seasons. He will become an assistant at Mineral Area College (MO). I have heard that he will also teach at the school, and be involved with a local AAU program.

• I have heard that two Colby College (ME) assistants have recently moved on. Nick Pelotte has been named as the head coach at Waterville (ME) HS. Last year was his first at Colby. Also, I have heard that Damian Farley has returned to the Boston area where he has entered private business. No word yet on any replacements.

• Justin Newton has been hired as the GA at Columbus State University (GA). He has served the past two seasons as an assistant at South Georgia State College (Waycross).
