Taylor Lavery has been added to the North Central Missouri College men’s basketball staff as an assistant coach. He will be involved in all areas of the program, including day-to-day operations, recruiting, opponent scouting, player development, and building and organizing travel plans.
Prior to NCMC, Lavery was the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Central Wyoming College from 2018-20. In that time, the Rustlers compiled a record of 31-31. Lavery also spent one season as an assistant at Holy Names University in Oakland, California.
Lavery had a stellar collegiate playing career at NCAA Division II University of Minnesota-Duluth and NJCAA DII Kishwaukee College. He was named to the All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) team his senior year. He scored 17.8 points per game, which was eighth in the conference, and shot 84.1% from the free throw line, which was fourth in the conference. At Kishwaukee, he was named All-Region both his freshman and sophomores years. Following his playing career at the University of Minnesota-Duluth, Lavery played one season of professional basketball for BCM Baia Mare in Romania.
A native of Dyer, Indiana, Lavery holds a Bachelors of Arts in Communications with a Minor in Business from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, and his Associate’s of Arts from Kishwaukee College.
