Lindgren resigns at Nichols

Nichols College Director of Athletics Charlyn Robert has announced the resignation of men’s basketball head coach Jeff Lindgren.

Lindgren posted a two-year record of 36-20 and guided the Bison to a program-record 23 wins and a berth in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament this past season. A four-year student-athlete and three-time Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Academic All-Conference selection at Nichols, he spent three years as an assistant coach before being elevated to head coach prior to the 2012 campaign. Lindgren was named CCC Coach of the Year in 2013-14.

"We would like to thank Jeff for his contributions to Nichols College over the past nine seasons – four as a student-athlete and five as a member of our coaching staff," said Robert. "The 2013-14 season was certainly exciting, record-setting and memorable. We wish him well in his future endeavors."

The search for a new head coach is presently underway. Interested parties should contact Robert at [email protected].
