Former Central Connecticut assistant coach Tobe Carberry has been named as an assistant coach at LIU Brooklyn. Carberry had been on the CCSU staff since 2014, and was not retained when Donyell Marshall took over this past spring. He also spent four seasons as an assistant coach at DII New Haven, and three seasons at Southern Connecticut. After a standout career at the University of Vermont, Carberry spent five years in professional basketball leagues in the U.S. and Europe, including the NBA Development League.

Carberry joins Director of Basketball Operations Greg Van Pelt (LIU DIRT) as new menbers of head coach Jack Perri’s staff. Official press releases on these hirings have not been made yet, but are expected shortly.
