Louis Promoted to Director of Basketball Operations at Charleston Southern

Charleston Southern head men’s basketball coach Barclay Radebaugh announced a positional shift within the staff as Nate Louis will take over as the new Director of Basketball Operations.

Louis recently finished his first year as the Buccaneers’ video coordinator in the 2020-21 season. Throughout his role, he handled CSU men’s basketball’s video scouting efforts and lent a hand in operating all facets of the program.

“We are very happy to announce Nate’s promotion to Director of Basketball Operations,” Radebaugh said. “Nate is family and it is always a thrill to promote family. He has a tremendous work ethic, a servant’s heart, and a gift of developing strong relationships. Nate is a good communicator and understands how to communicate the standards and expectations of our program. We will all benefit greatly from Nate being a part of our staff.”

Louis was a two-year member of the Buccaneers’ men’s basketball program after lining up his junior and senior seasons on the court. He capped his career finishing among the top-five in program history in career three-point percentage.

He looks forward to the opportunity to continue to make an impact on the staff moving forward.

“I’m thankful for Coach Radebaugh and Charleston Southern for giving me this opportunity,” Louis said. “It’s been a great experience to be able to go from a player to joining the coaching staff and developing great relationships and have quality men mentoring me. I love the culture here and believe in this program. I’m blessed to be in a position to impact the lives of these players and give back to the school and community.”

Louis played in 55 games in his two seasons at CSU starting 27 including the final 16 contests. Louis made 76 three-point field goals as a Buc highlighted by a 6-of-9 performance versus Presbyterian as a junior.
