LSU men’s basketball Head Coach Johnny Jones announced on Tuesday that Korey McCray has signed a contract to join the LSU men’s basketball program as a member of the coaching staff for the 2013-14 season.

McCray replaces assistant coach Robert Kirby who left last month for another assistant’s job.

McCray served the past two seasons as an assistant coach at UCLA. Prior to working at UCLA, McCray also served as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Mercer University, during the 2007-08 season. He was also an assistant coach at Chipola Junior College in Marianna, Fla., during the 2004-05 season.
