Lubbock Christian head coach John Copeland has announced his resignation effective at the end of the season. Copeland has spent the past 31 years at LCU with a record of 462-431. He will remain with the University serving as Special Projects Coordinator for the Athletic Department.

The LCU Athletic Department is currently forming a search committee to find the best individual to succeed Copeland. The Search Committee will aim to have the position filled and an announcement made at the conclusion of the season.
