New UNC-Charlotte head coach Alan Major has started putting his staff together. I’ve heard that Boston University associate head coach Orlando Vandross was on campus Sunday and that he and Major met with players Sunday night. Also, I’ve heard from numerous sources that Virginia Tech assistant Ryan Odom will join the staff as well. Odom is the son of former Wake Forest and South Carolina coach Dave Odom.

The formal press conference to announce Major’s hiring will take place at 2:00pm.
