Manhattan staff update

Manhattan College Head Coach Steve Masiello has announced his staff for the 2014-2015 season.

Staff Breakdown:

Associate Head Coach, Matt Grady

Grady returns for his fourth season as the program’s Associate Head Coach, and like Masiello has been helped the Jaspers to 60 wins and two trips to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Championship Game, including last year’s title-winning run.

Coach Masiello on Grady:

“Once again, Matt will be heavily relied upon for game-day and in-game preparation.”

Associate Head Coach, Rasheen Davis

Davis enters his third season on staff and his first as an Associate Head Coach after helping lead the Jaspers to the program’s first MAAC Championship in 10 years in 2013-2014.

Coach Masiello on Davis:

“Rasheen is one of the best recruiters in the nation and brings a wealth of experience in building winning programs.”

Assistant Coach, Mike Bramucci

Bramucci has been elevated to an Assistant Coach for the upcoming season. He returned to Riverdale last season as the Director of Operations and promptly helped Manhattan to the MAAC Championship and 25 wins in his first season on staff.

“Mike is one of the best teachers in college basketball and will heavily relied up in our player development.”

Director of Basketball Operations, Stephen Elmore

Elmore, a Princeton graduate and former two-sport collegiate student- athlete, joins the staff as the Director Of Basketball Operations.

Coach Masiello on Elmore:

“I am very excited to have Stephen on staff. He is a rising star in the coaching profession and comes from a great basketball pedigree.”

Strength & Conditioning Coach, Roberto Colonette

A former standout on the court for Manhattan from 2010-2013, Colonette has been promoted to the Head Men’s Basketball Strength & Conditioning Coach after serving as the assistant a year ago and was a key factor in the Jaspers’ run to the 2014 MAAC Championship.

“Roberto is in charge of all of our strength and conditioning and does a terrific job of getting the guys ready to play our style of basketball.”

Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach, Heshimu Evans

Following a successful 15-year professional career the former Manhattan College and University of Kentucky standout returns to Riverdale as the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. At Kentucky, Evans helped the Wildcats to the 1998 National Championship after being a two-time All-MAAC honoree for the Jaspers.

“Heshimu is one of the all-time Jasper greats that I will rely on to further enhance our winning culture off the court.”

Special Assistant To The Head Coach, Kidani Brutus

A two-year standout on the court for Manhattan College from 2010-2012, Brutus returns to campus as a Special Assistant to Masiello.

Coach Masiello on Brutus:

“Kidani is one of the hardest working Jaspers of all-time and is a big part of where the program is today.”
