Mansfield University head men’s basketball coach Rich Miller has announced the appointment of former Bloomsburg University assistant coach Michael Hamlin to a full-time assistant position with the Mountaineers.
"We are very pleased to have Coach Hamlin join our staff," said Miller. "He’s familiar with the league and with our players after spending so much time at Bloomsburg. We’re confident he’s going to fit in here easily and become a big part of our success."
Hamlin, who graduated from Bloomsburg in 2011 with a degree in business administration, started his coaching career as an undergrad in 2007 and has served as a member of the Huskies staff until taking the position at Mansfield.
Hamlin was a member or Huskies staff during the 2011-12 campaign that won 19 games and earned Bloomsburg’s first postseason playoff spot since 2001. Last season the Huskies went 16-12 and picked up their first post season win since 2001.
