Chattahoochee Valley Community College has named Marcus Thomas as Head Coach of the Men’s Basketball Program. Coach Thomas is a well-respected member of the Alabama Community College Conference and has contributed to programs at Lawson State Community College, Marion Military Institute, and most recently, Gadsden State Community College.
Coach Thomas brings more than 20 years of coaching experience and a commitment to developing student-athletes on and off the court. He emphasizes accountability, competitive excellence, academic achievement, leadership, discipline, and community engagement as essential parts of a successful program.
His student-centered approach is supported by a strong background in education. Coach Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from Belhaven University and a Master of Science in Health and Physical Education from Jacksonville State University, and he has served as an instructor at the collegiate and K-12 levels for more than 20 years.
