Marshall University Assistant Basketball Coach Chris Duhon Resigns

Following his second arrest in two seasons, Marshall University assistant basketball coach Chris Duhon has resigned. Marshall University officials issued the following statement:

“Assistant men’s basketball coach Chris Duhon has resigned his position, effective immediately. As this is a personnel matter, the department will have no further comment.”

The former Duke guard has been on Dan D’Antoni’s staff since 2014. A member of the Blue Devils 2001 National Championship team, Duhon played for the Bulls, Knicks, Magic, and Lakers over his nine seasons in the NBA.

A Twitter poll over the past two days revealed that 32% of respondents felt that Duhon should resign. 53% of voters thought that he should be fired, while 9% voted for him to be reinstated from his suspension.

There is no word yet as to what D’Antoni will do with his vacant assistant position.
