Mount Saint Mary College is thrilled to announce the newest addition to the Men’s Basketball coaching staff, Ryan McGoff, who will serve as the assistant coach. With nine years of coaching experience, Ryan is a welcome addition to Coach Kadlubowski’s coaching staff.
“I am very excited to welcome Ryan McGoff to Mount Saint Mary College and to our basketball family”, stated Kadlubowski. “Ryan’s previous experience coaching at the collegiate level will greatly assist our program moving forward. His character, work ethic, and basketball knowledge that he has gained throughout his coaching career will truly benefit our student-athletes to help them improve both on and off the court every day.”
Ryan McGoff, a native of Scranton, PA, has spent nine years honing his skills and building a reputation as a motivated and organized leader. Ryan’s coaching career officially took off when he became the Head Coach of the JBHOOPS/NEPA Elite AAU Basketball Program in 2015. Over the years, he mentored young athletes, helping them maximize their performance on and off the court.
In 2017, Ryan’s journey led him to Misericordia University, where he served as both an Assistant Coach and a Graduate Assistant. During his time there, he contributed to recruiting, player development, and game preparation. He was a crucial part of the team’s success, being a part of four postseason teams and one Conference Championship team.
“Ryan was an integral part of the Misericordia Basketball program and community for the last six years. He recruited several all-conference players and was an asset on and off the court. Ryan was a part of the 2017-2018 MAC Freedom Conference Championship Team and my main recruiter for the last several years at Misericordia. He is a great young coach and has a bright future in college basketball.” stated Coach Chandler.
Ryan’s educational background is equally impressive. He earned an MBA in Sports Management from Misericordia University in May 2022, further enhancing his understanding of the sports industry. His Bachelor of Science in Arts in History, obtained from King’s College in 2016, demonstrates his commitment to well-rounded personal and academic development.
