Ritchie McKay has resigned as the head basketball coach at Liberty University. McKay was 39-28 in his two seasons at the school. He came to Liberty from New Mexico where he was 82-69 in 5 seasons. He has also been the head coach at Portland State, Colorado State, and Oregon State.

Our sources tell us that he has resigned so he can take a position on Tony Bennett’s staff at Virginia, possibly becoming the associate head coach.
