Lipscomb Men’s Basketball head coach Kevin Carroll announced the final addition of his staff on Thursday with Jack McMahon. McMahon will serve as assistant coach and will also take on the role as director of basketball operations.
McMahon comes to Lipscomb after spending the prior two seasons as a graduate assistant at Vanderbilt University. While at Vanderbilt, McMahon was part of a staff that improved the teams’ win total by 11 games in the 2024-25 season and led the Commodores to an at-large bid to the 2025 NCAA Tournament where it narrowly fell to No. 7 Saint Mary’s in the Cleveland regional.
McMahon was a four-year letterwinner at Presbyterian College from 2019-2023 where he was a 2022 NABC Honors Court member. McMahon is a native of Hickory, N.C. and graduated from Presbyterian with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in history. He recently graduated with a Master’s in Education in Leadership and Organizational Performance from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College.
