A few things I’ve heard while cooking steaks on the grill this weekend…
• I can confirm that Greg Himes will be the new head coach at UC Clermont. He was most recently the head coach at Southern State (in the same league as UC Clermont). He is also a former HS assistant in Kentucky. The official announcement is expected Tuesday.
• I have heard that Wentworth Tech (MA) assistant Tim McLaughlin has become an assistant at Wesleyan (CT). He had been at Wentworth for the past two seasons, and worked as a student at Boston College before that.
• Staying in New England…I have heard that Dean College (MA) assistant Joe Cabral has accepted a similar spot at Lasell College (MA). Cabral is familiar with Lasell’s league – he played at GNAC foe Mt. Ida. Cabral spent one season at Dean following his graduation from Mt. Ida in 2012.
