Memphis is seeking permission from Tennessee to speak with Bruce Pearl about the newly vacant head basketball position at the school. Reports out there are saying Memphis is prepared to pay in the range of $3 million per years with a 7-year pact. Reports that the offer has already been made are untrue.

Also, according to published reports, Tennessee Associate Head Coach Tony Jones has been offered head coach position at Boston University. The sides are apparently just crossing the dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s and will have contract hammered out in the next few days.
