Kyle Milligan arrives at RSC after serving the previous season as a student assistant coach at his alma mater, MCLA. A two-year letterwinner in baseball at MCLA, Milligan is a native of Cohoes, NY and has extensive experience in the coaching ranks. He has participated for the past two years as a member of Coach Brian Barnes’ staff for the spring break, summer and fall break camps, while also working as the head coach for the Cap City Scrappers Travel Basketball Team since March of 2022.
Head Coach Brian Barnes noted, “I am excited to welcome Coach Milligan into our Gator Family.” He added, “Kyle is someone I’ve gotten to know well over the years as he attended our camps since he was eight years old. I continue to be impressed with his passion for basketball, ability to build meaningful relationships with student athletes and his growth driven mentality. Coach Milligan is a terrific addition to our staff and fits our program core values perfectly.”
Milligan also has experience as the founder of the Capital Sports Media Network, Albany, NY and has worked with ESPN Radio, (Albany, NY).
Academically, he excelled earning All-MASCAC All-Academic Team honors multiple times at MCLA. Scholastically, he was a National Honor Society student at Cohoes High School and was a team captain for the basketball and baseball teams four times throughout his career. He was honored with the Basketball Achievement Scholarship Award, the John Grego Memorial Scholarship Award, the Francis St. Onge Scholarship Award and was a two-time Berstein Scholarship Award.
He has been accepted into RSC’s graduate program, specifically the new Sport Science master’s degree.
