HoopDirt.com can confirm an earlier report by Evan Daniels that former Tulane head coach Ed Conroy will join Richard Pitino’s staff at Minnesota. He will replace Nate Pomeday who became the Associate Commissioner for Men’s Basketball with American Athletic Conference last month. Conroy spent the past six seasons at Tulane (92-103), and has also been the head coach at The Citadel and Francis Marion (SC). He has also served as an assistant coach at Coastal Carolina, Tennessee, Tulsa, Furman, Virginia Military Institute and North Carolina State. An official announcement is expected early next week.
